Lessons You Need To Learn Early to Succeed in Real Estate

Below are 12 "Lessons" I have learned over the past 28 years in this industry... Take one lesson a day for the next 12 days and find a way to integrate it into your business for positive change

- Know the difference between being an “independent contractor” and being “free to do whatever I want”… There is an extreme need for discipline, systems, and standards in the Real Estate Profession

- Learn that marketing “YOU” and building relationship are more important than anything else you do in your business.

- Understand the strain being self-employed can be on you, your family, and your finances.

- Supporting your community will lead to your community supporting you.

- “In The Beginning” spend more time working “ON” your business than you do “IN” your business.

- Understand that as an entrepreneur… imagination, ingenuity, and hard work are sometimes more important than college degrees or initials behind your name.

- Understand that the real estate business is not set in stone…there are many ways to earn income in this industry…don’t let your sights become fixed in only one direction…maintain a  360° view of all your opportunities.

- Understand the value of mentors and a good sales coach…They can change your life!

- Understand what technology can do for you…and what it can’t… example: building relationships.

- Understand the importance of developing high level work ethics and habits.

- Understand you are far more likely to destroy your career than your competitors are.

- Understand the only constant in real estate is change and every day presents both challenges and opportunities.

It's not to late to get your 2015 off to a great start... invest time everyday improving you and your business!
